being artistic and creative is a form of intellligence, it takes a lot of intelligence to be artistic and creative, its a different form of intelligence to the traditional one you're referring to re being knowledgeable. and theres no reason why one cant possess both type sof intelligence.

Since you asked, I'd much prefer being knowledgable. If you have that quality, it never goes away. Creativity, however, is subject to a lot of factors, such as emotion. Your talent is also being judged by different people, and some people have very different taste. As an example, take any actor or musician. Some people hate what they do, even if they win awards every year. But intelligence and knowledge speak for themselves. They also are more helpful when you're trying to go through life and take care of yourself.

Why would I have to choose to be one or the other? There are uncaring and cruel people in both of these groups.

I'm a writer, therefore definitely creative. But at the same time I would aspire to learn as much as I can, develop my thinking powers for as long as I'm able - and above all to simply be a good and worthwhile human being.

You can be all of those things, but given the choice I would have to take knowledge and intelligence.

The reason? knowledge and intelligence are far more useful tools in an emergency than being arty. Simple as that.

the respond to your question is totally revealed in an previous Russian proverb: “know-how doesn’t tutor you to be smart.” Albert Einstein as quickly as became puzzled by ability of the comparable concept and got here up with this: “the actual sign of intelligence isn't know-how yet mind's eye.” Albert Einstein Risking sounding shallow I dare to function to this my opinion: “i think of that intelligence is for specific flexibility of the ideas, or extra suitable to assert it’s tenacity. wish this nighttime you will sleep extra suitable ;)

artistic & creative will get you further in life. there are a lot of intelligent people but not every intelligent person is creative. highly intelligent people have a harder time in the real world than an average joe.
