Is there were any formal or legal papers that descibe or portray in someway the relationshipe between the family?
If so, is it possible to break a relationship between family members? I am interested in close family - specifically siblings (sisters and brothers).

Sorry (forgot this important point)!

I'm not really talkng about disowning. I just mean the relationshi becoming an un-relationship (so to speak).

There are your birth certificates that would establish the sibling relationship/ but only through the parent and child. The ways to dissolve relationships, legally, are through divorce, emancipation or adoption. There's no equivalent for siblings because your relationship is through common parentage, not each other. We are all stuck with our siblings, no matter how bad!
