You join the military to do a job and effectively they own you when you enlist.
If you dont want to go away much then a squaddies desktype job in the Airforce is probably your best option.
That does not mean you wont be posted away, probably not as often for as long.
Frankly mate if your this precious about it I would seriuosly think about WHY you are even considering the military, go and get a job in a retail store.

What about Military Intelligence; there are also many liaisons with the Navy, Marine Corpse, Army and Airforce needed to communicate with government institutions/departments like the CIA and defence. MM?

Air Force or Navy as second choice. Both of these branches of service treat the enlisted well.
