Surely you don't think that question qualifies as a thought.

In my experience, vegetarians can be split into two groups:
a) those who are vegetarian on health/preference grounds,
b) those who are vegetarian for moral reasons.
Those in category a) are likely to still wear leather, buy cars with leather interiors, etc.
Those in category b) will not use or wear leather if they can avoid it in any way.
It doesn't have anything to do with being vegan or vegetarian, it's the reasons behind it that determine their attitude towards leather.
As for horse-riding, those in category b) would probably see horse riding as cruel anyway and not do it at all.

Vegans who pay attention do not use any animal product, no leather, no silk, no wool. My daughters live this way. Anything leather can be made with a synthetic now.
As for horse riding, I have synthetic saddles, bridles, etc. They are much easier to care for and often have gel padding for the horse and a gel seat for the rider.
And no leather interior for them. More for the rest of us!

Some people are vegetarian for health reasons, so they would have no conflict with wearing leather. The other ones probably find products made out of god knows what.

A friend of mine's a veggie.
He tried to buy shoes that weren't leather, but it was such a pain he had to give up.
Don't take the piss out of veggies. If I had to kill an animal to eat it, (instead of relying on someone else), I reckon I'd be one. They probably do have the moral high ground.

Try looking it up the the dictionary - a vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat - it's nothing to do with what they wear. Lots of veggies are veggie for health reasons rather than ethical reasons anyway.
(By the way, a dictionary is a special sort of book with lots of words in it and if you know your alphabet, you can look words up and find out what they mean).
