It's 5 since five toes go into a sock. But its still doesn't make much sense, since the order is wrong.

The reason: 4 wheels on a car, 5 fingers in a glove, 12 numbers on a clock and 5 toes in a sock. Just an idea..!

It would have to be 5 if the sock has toes.

A car has 4 wheels.
A glove has 5 fingers.
A clock has 12 numbers.
A sock as 5 toes.

I would guess d)17 because the numbers are strictly increasing and 17 is the only answer choice that is greater than 12. Not sure where the words come in although there seems to be some sort of increasing progression thru the alphabet as well.
