I was watching a court show the other day and the couple on there only knew each other 1 month before they got engage. So I want to know how long should you wait till you get engage?
A) shortest amont of time
B) longest amount of time

It all depends on the situation. If your in a happy, healthy relationship, I would say wait around 8-10 months.

Before I get engaged I want to know the other person very well, I think the shortest would 8 months the longest I'd be in a realtionship without getting engaged 3 years.

Ok back in the day my grand parents met and were married in 2 weeks. Now 6-8 months to get engaged married in 2yrs. Longest time I'd wait is 2yrs life is too short to waste on the wrong mate.

No one can tell you for sure but the common consensus is that you must be engaged for a judicious lenghth of time. Two years is about right.

well, i was with my boyfroend for 5 years before we got married. although i wanted to marry sooner.... i thought 5 years was too long... you have to know tthe person inside and out before you make that commitment so i dont think you would actually know someone in less than a year. and i also think living with that person before you marry is best. (so you know what life would be like in the same house) so i think 3 to 5 years of dating is the best time.... as long as both are ready to make that commitment

just when you knew it you'll be in that situation withouth realizing it.
there's no ideal time to wait to get engage.I suggest you just take it as it is.
