I can't help but wander:

Has a single member of the religious right ultra conservative fringe of the republican party ever read this?
Mathew 5:3-48; 6:1-34; 7:1-27
It's in this real neat old Book called the Bible. Don't just thump on its cover pick it up and read it sometime, it will change your life.
God Bless and Merry Christmas

I am a devout Liberal, and proponent of the right of individual freedom. I love my God and my country. I work for a living, and believe in an honest days work for an honest days pay. I believe that Bill Clinton was one of the greatest Presidents to have ever held that office, and that Jimmy Carter is probably one of the most descent men ever to have lived in this country. I also believe that George Herbert Walker Bush is a traitor to the constitution of this great land and a war profiteer and drug lord. I believe his son is an arrogant inept wanna be dictator who was put in power by his father and cronies in a so far successful coup that started with the marriage of the Mafia, and the Central Intelligence Agency at the corner of Houston and Elm in Dallas Texas in 1963.
God Bless America.

When Robertson and Falwell stated that 9/11 was God's punishment on America, they proved themselves not to be true Christians. To even imagine that God would do such a thing makes you wonder (according to the thinking of these two "religious leaders") where He was during the purges of Stalin's era, the murder of millions of innocents by the Nazis, the starvation of millions of Chinese by Mao's Great Leap Forward, the ethnic killing in Rwanda, the evil North Korea represents.

They have become political shills who want a Christian America and who have no understanding of what America really stands for.

As for Ann Coulter, at least she can be annoying entertaining. Like the crazy woman who lives down stairs and says the most outrageous things just to get your attention.

Yes and as a republican I like "Judge not lest you be judged." Matt 7:1 To bad people point the faults of others without looking at themselves first.

If politics were kept as a business for the benefit of each citizen and religion were kept as a mirror for each person wouldn't it be a easier place to live?

No, any passages that don't back the intense hatred they feel for people who aren't exactly like them are discarded or merely ignored.

Something is not right.
How can a liberal be a Christian?
Can't happen. No way, Jose.
You are fooling someone. Perhaps yourself.
I am not a real Christian, but I have studied religion enough, that I know there are NO Liberal Christians. That's an oxymoron.
