Who says looks don't mean anything? We live in a shallow, shallow world!

Let me tell ya something. Good looks in school sometimes do not follow a person into their 30's. I went to school with these girls who thought their stuff did not stink and guys to, and yea they where most of the time pretty good looking. I see some of these goody too shoes today and I think to myself ( if only they could have seen themselves 15 years down the road) I also know people from the other side of this , you know, the not so good looking ones in school. Well now they can hold their heads high and say " Look at me now" Fact has it we will ALL get old and wrinkle up a little bit and some a whole lot. Don't let little things like this bother you. Personality goes a long way!

I too agree with the answer that it's because when you are young and in school (particularly high school the most), people think that looks are everything. When you get older people don't care as much anymore because they find out it isn't the end of the world if you aren't popular and that looks aren't that important to being a "cool" person.

no longer to sound thoroughly lame yet many times the most universal women are those that extra healthful the mould the purely right. they'd no longer be the prettiest, yet all of them are outgoing, flirty, and positioned on clothing from the 'in' shops. they're also somewhat giggly! i comprehend issues are different from college to school yet each and each and every of the universal women I knew in intense college had an same personalities and had no intensity to them. i wager adult males like having employer of girls human beings that mindlessly giggle and pretend to swoon after each and every note they say. for my area, i got here upon those women somewhat stressful because all of them looked as if it would the to me!

Attractive people are more popular than non-attractive people because more people want the attractive people to like them. Thus, the more people fall in love with attractive people, the more popular they become.

I think the phrase was "Looks aren't as important". I guess we are shallow...but I think popular guys and girls are the ones who have confidence in themselves to be out there and outgoing, and I think they have that sparkle in them. The less attractive can be popular too. It's just that the people who have confidence in themselves know that they're aren't ugly.

to tell you the truth, people are shallow. people who look good become popular simple because they have confidence and know what it takes to be popular. no one really believes "looks aren't anything". because oviously in the teen world, they are.

Because when you are young and in school looks and popularity are everything. You don't realize that looks aren't important until you are older and away from all that crap.

haha no they arent. the popular girls look fake and thats gross. they wear too much makeup and they just look nasty. and the popular guys look like f*ags. i know a lot of fat guys that are popular. as long as you drink and have s*ex you're cool. thats how it works in school anyway
