I'd go with the new 3rd generation iPod nano. They are a little spendy but as a main present they aren't that bad. They come in all different colors and the new one also has a video feature so you can download movies and shows now and stuff. If you are going to go with a mobile phone, if your teen doesn't have one already x] I would eiether go with a prepaid for the first 6 months so that you get an idea of how many minutes they need and how fast they run out and eiether keep them on prepaid or switch to a plan. T-Mobile is good and phones are of decent quality and Verizon has great phones but is a bit on the pricey side. As far as prepaid goes I would go with T-Mobile to go as opposed to Tracfone, they are a rip off. Oh, the iPhone is like $400... Happy Holidays!

Pants, socks and a book, it's all you need. Why don't you ask them what they want for xmas?

Maybe you should ask them to donate to charity, put money in a savings account for you.

If you don't know what you want, then you must be content in your life, ask for a big nothing and a nice xmas dinner withthe ones you love. I'm 14 000 miles from my family and will miss them like crazy over Christmas, be thankful for what you have.

Cash in a card -- You could get whatever you want then?
I still get cash in a card, buys me a few beers boxing day, but I have too work out how I'm going to subtly give it them back so they dont notice it before the new year without hurting their feelings!!!

I would ask them to do something special for themselves. After, depending on their finances, I would ask for those things I wanted most. Maybe new MP3 player, digital radio, Oh, a new Aston Martin, maybe deodorant and a prostitute.
After all, our parents gave us a measure of love and a start at life, after that, it is all just extras!
