This video shows it can be done :) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6974467646937874348

But, have a read through here -

It involves back-hacking and overwriting firmware, so I would not do it personally. Supposedly you can have a dual-boot system that allows it, but it is too risky for my liking.

Read more about it here:

If you still want to, follow the link from this website:

you may positioned video clips on your nano yet purely for storing it, no longer for viewing. once you plug on your ipod and iTunes pops up, click on your ipod under units on the left hand part. Down in direction of the backside you will see 4 issues you may verify. opt for "enable disc use". now you may drag and drop video clips onto your ipod. It incredibly acts like a super USB flashcontinual. it is going to likely be on there, yet you would be unable to play it, purely flow it to a distinctive computer.

you can not put full movies on it just short movies. First you have to go to apple .com there will be little file things at the very top of the screen the firs is an apple sign, the next one says store, ipod+iTunes, and a few more click on ipod+iTunes. some where on the page there is a icon saying free downloads (dont worry it is totaly free with no hidden charges or anything, and there are no viruses) click that and go through the 3 or 4 simple steps making sure to make short cut on desktop, press finish and there should be a new icon on your desktop. click it and go to store then on the side it should say PODCASTS click it and down load your episodes

You can only put videos on the bigger ipod (video ipod) not that ipod nano. The ipod nano is only good for holding music and pictures.

The Nano doesn't have native video capability.

I thought the nano didn't even have a screen? I guess you can rename the file extension so itunes will reckognize it as a media file...
