probably is a misspelling/typo of 'prayer' - but a pryer is one who prys.. which could mean one who looks into things.. or one who prys nails from boards.. -- context would be useful

ok, first of all, it's not a word. the two words that come to mind are these:

prior: it means before the present. ex. "prior to baking the cake, you must crack some eggs."

prayer: words said in praise, adoration, thanksgiving, supplication, etc, to an otherearthly being. (presumably God)

Do you mean Prior, as in "He had prior offenses against the state". The only word I can think of that comes close.
