It depends. If you're just for living the best life you can, leadership will probably just get in the way. If you would like for the human race to make progress, then leadership is what organizes us to make improvements to our society and environment. You may say that people should just live the best life they can, but if it weren't for people making the improvements we'd still be nomads. So leadership helps future humans live better lives.

We have to have order imagine if everyone doing their own thing something is sent to wrong place who is accountable its the order of life even in the jungle they go from big to small this way we all have a job that we are responsible for and then someone to oversee that it was done makes things run smoothly and yes you have leaders who think they are god and you wish they would disappear but that is life

To be a good leader you also need to be a good follower. Without leadership we would all be going different directions and the world would be in disarray.

One name comes to mind. Jimmy Carter. Flopped on the economy, flopped on Iran, flopped everywhere. You don't always know how to quantify it properly until you compare one leader to a miserable failure like this guy.

well a leader will tell you it is becuase it takes a leader to co-ordinate and provide direction, in most cases sadly leaders in the workplace can do one, the other or more often than not neither

Without it there would be anarchy, a total loss of control in a lawless world where only the strongest and fittest survived. Sounds appealing, eh?
