the 360 right away and if you can wait 3 to 6 months, the PS3 as well. If you can get both. If you have to choose only one, let the games be the deciding factor.
Which console has more of the games you like?
The Wii isn't even worth considering. It is a last generation console with a new control interface. That is it. when you become bored with the new control type, you will regret spending 250 dollars for a unit with sub-PS2 graphics and sound. (not to mention the same re-hashed Nintendo titles)

Xbox 360 has the advantage of being first out the gate. They have an opportunity to see where the market is and find out where all the flaws in the processing are. The problem with that is that Nintendo and Sony reap the same benefits. 360 has the best numbers as far as system specs go, but Nintendo is changing the focus of what makes a good console. Nintendo's goal is to reel in a much larger market, and they're doing so because of two things: a user friendly, cost effective system; and the largest, most diverse games library ever imagined. With their Virtual Console accessing three generations of games over five different systems, plus full GCN compatibility, Nintendo is giving itself the advantage that PS2 had over the Gamecube. Sony is making a valiant effort in trying to maintain the interest from PS2 to PS3, but most of the things they've given us so far feel more like enhancements, rather than improvements. The controller is a bit different, but it's essentially the same. The ability to connect your PSP and use it as a controller was already conceived by Nintendo, as was the motion sensitive controller. To sum everything up, XBox will do well, PS3 might hold on, but I believe Wii will rule. "Wii will change everything"

The Wii is only good if you like interactive games. If I had to choose between the PS3 and Xbox 360, I would have to choose the Xbox 360. Why? Because all games for the Xbox 360 are in high-definition and the graphics are pretty much the same as the PS3. There's built-in support for wireless controllers and excellent online gaming, content downloads, and communications via Xbox Live. The console is not only backward compatible with many (but not all) original Xbox titles, but it also doubles as a superior digital media hub and Windows Media extender. The system's online Marketplace allows easy purchases of mini-games, movies, and TV shows. The Xbox 360 delivers the power and performance of a high-end gaming PC, including impressive digital media and networking features.
This is an example to show you that the Xbox 360 graphics are just as good, or even better than the PS3 graphics. http://www.gamespot.com/features/6162742/p-2.html

Go for the PS3 It has the equivelent graphics of the 1 year old 360. The PS3 uses blueray for the games and can play blueray movies so it is the only true HD system. It also has great capability with the PSP. The PS3 is backwards capable and you can download PS1 games too. It also has a online service kind of like Xbox Live only it is FREE instead of $5 a month. Just think what developers will be able to do with the system 6 months from now. You won't be able to compare the games to that of the 360 since they will be so in depth. As far as the Wii goes it is going to get old quick as soon as everyone relizes that the motion sencing controler isn't as good as it sounds when it comes to playing all of the games. Go for the PS3 and get the good deal.

In my opinion, the PS3 is better. But then again, who am i to say what is. Its a matter of opinion, however it is a fact that the Playstation 3 is more powerful than any system currently on the market.

I would pick the Xbox 360 because it's here now, and the library of games is big and getting bigger, and the system is stable. Initial releases of anything are usually the most prone to bugs and recalls.
PS3 - Too expensive, few games (what are you going to play if you buy it? The same game for six months?) and unproven technology. We have yet to see whether HD-DVD or Blu-Ray will dominate the coming HD format.
Wii - I admit, I am tempted. Still, I am a more intermediate gamer, and the Xbox 360 titles draw me in more than the Nintendo titles. Still, it's cheap, and it's got good multiplayer games, plus that neat controller.

Actually, the 360 is quite easy to obtain. And it's also the best deal for the money. We have one and it's great because of the extra stuff you can do on it, such as downloading movies and games. The PS3 has similar options but for a higher price. If you like the old xbox, then I highly recommend the 360. My husband and I are avid gamers, and we've been very satisfied.

Wii!!!! Nintendo games are so fun!! Unless you like gore and violence and such. Then you might be better off with PS3 or Xbox 360, since Nintendo games tend to be geared more towards being appropriate for 7-12 years old, with violence really going no more than a cartoonish level.
