Philosophical--were Hitler, Stalin, Hussein etc. geniuses or perverted monsters?

should we intervene in darfur?

one could say not to, because it doesnt concern us.
one could say not to because it will get US soldiers killed and make the satanists angry at us. one could say not to because its too expensive. one could say not to because it will make us some new enemies.

one could say to intervene is just because we are morally obligated to help those in need. we could say to intervene because we are next on the list. once could say to intervene because those causing the trouble are our enemies anyway, thus making the victims our allies.once could say that intervention is necesary because people who do not deserve to die are being killed.
