me and my girlfriend just broke up coming to a mutual agreement that we just don't get along sometimes. So we are both hurt but feel its the right thing to do. My question is, should i now go sleep around with a whole bunch of women to forget about her or wait patiently to see if i still want her????But i also think that if we are meant to be, that we will find our way back to eachother someday. Not sure though i just know i really like her and we have a lot in common, im only 18 and my elders tell me to just have fun for now because i'm young but i think i've been there done that. i'm not saying i want to get married but i want to be in love. Should we try being friends????? or even keep in touch????

mmmmm.... i think there are more components to this story... but if you really care for her give the relationship some space ...dont sleep around more like date some different people then see if you still feel the same away about her...if you really care for her then see if you guys can make a frienship btw. the two of you work it'll make the possiblity of you two getting back togehter more likely.

Give yourself plenty of time. Do not jump into another relationship even if it is just for sex. You are too venerable now and you may not see things as they really are. Give it time. Get over her.
As for what you should do with her.......after a cooling off period there is no reason you should not keep in touch. You were close and now your not but you share memories so there is no reason why you should throw that all away.
And after you mature.......you never know what may happen.
You both may come back together and live happily ever after. Don't count on it but don't discount it either.
At the very least there will come a time when she could be a very good and close friend. You never want to loose that unless it has to happen.

Going out and sleeping with a bunch of other girls won't make you forget her & might even lessen the chance of working things out with your ex. I won't even go into all the talk of STD's, pregnancy, or hurting other girls. You are young, like you acknowledge, so date some when you feel up to it, spend time with friends, have fun. You'll be glad you did, & if you're meant to be with your former girlfriend, you'll find your way back to each other someday.

try being friends but if you two find its too hard to do that just keep in touch every now and then and see how one another is doing. other then, only time will heal a broken a heart. try to move on but don't go out and be a man-hoe. go out and have fun, you are still young and you should be out doing what you want. if you two are meant to be you will find your way back to each other later. like i said, only time will tell.

Maybe you could go back to being friends and see if that works better, then at least you have your space and can get along in each others company. You never know what might happen in the future though, good luck

Yes you are 18 and supposed to have fun,go out and live your life and you can still keep in touch with her.Do not limit or torture yourself.By the time you will see that you will have the answer for yourself.Just be patient.

YOUR 18.. my gosh.. you should be out there living your life while your young... if not your just going to look but and see this old girlfriend.. yeah .. you might be in love.. but there is plenty of time for that. : ) keep in touch and don't sleep around there are too many HIV's out there! lol

I'd recommend against the "just friends" angle. Too much stress. I'd recommend against sleeping around, seems shallow and does nothing for a possible future with her. I say, just live life how you want. If love finds you then fine.

if you love something,let it go,if it comes back to you its yours,if it doesnt,it never was.
i just got out of a 5 year argument.i couldnt deal with it anymore.so i moved on.if it is GODs will,maybe one day,we'll get back together.as for having sex with a whole bunch of woman,dont deprive yourself of a good time,or you might even find that special one you never know,but be careful and safe,USE PROTECTION!!!
