She's been on the talk shows the past couple of days promoting Charlotte's Web. Is it just me, or is she getting a little annoying?

I think she's really talented, but she's lost her little-girl cuteness and now appears to be a little phony around the edges. I don't necessarily think she is, but she now comes off as trying too hard.

She's right on the brink of hitting puberty. I feel sorry for her, because once she stops looking like a little girl, the movie people are going to drop her like a hot potato. She's been their cash cow for quite a while now. (I know I haven't been the only one to notice that there practically hasn't been a single other little girl in a movie since she came on the scene.) Now they're starting to use her little sister. Her managers have been dressing her like a six-year-old in a desperate attempt to make people think she's still a little kid. She's twelve now, though, and it's starting to look silly. I wish her the best of luck, and hopefully she'll be able to cross over into doing older movie roles. (WITHOUT having to do ADULT movie roles, if you know what I mean...)

Yes, it is called adolescence.
She doesn't have to cute little squeaky voice anymore, and she's done a lot of dramatic films here as of late. So, most people don't even see her as that cute little girl from all of her pre-adolescence days, she is growing up and becoming a teenager.

She's getting a lot annoying. Even tho I don't care for her, something bothers me about her career. In her next role, she plays a young girl who gets raped. I think she should have turned this role down. She's never been a "little girl" with her adult-like talk. Shame on her family.

OHHHHHH YES... I'm with you 100% i saw her on Oprah and i can tell Oprah is even annoyed, because she doesn't have any child like innocence and she talks like adults and it's kinda weird man... she is tooooo mature for her age and it's sad.. every one should enjoy their age group and enjoy childhood as well. I don't think she realizes that but she will when she grows up.

alright all you ppl who just cut her down your in for a hell of an argument,Do not critsize a child star your own age(dont lie)you chicks are probably a year or two older anything else is just creepy.She knows what acting is,and if she acts mature like she is doing she will go far,if u cant take it turn off tv.Sure she may play a real overeactant in movies but lts not like your an actress either.Deal with it.Kids who act mature grow up mature,wish I could say the same for some goners at my school.No matter what the future has in store for her shell always be pretty,and cute,and loveable and if you dont like dont watch it.Good Lord...

Dakota Fanning never had cuteness. She was always this annoying little kid who tried to act like an adult. She's a good actress, but offscreen she was always just bloody annoying!

i think so, i mean she's a good actress, but at 13, she needs to start acting like a teenager, and not like an 8 year old.

I saw her, she isn't too bad, just really confident and at that age where everything is perky. If she turns into a Britney Spears or Paris Hilton, then I will start to worry.
