Darkness is the absence of light. This is proven by the sun; with out the sun, there would be no light. The same is true for heat; cold is merely the absence of heat.

Darkness is the absence of light. Let us assume that USA is one side of the earth. When the sun faces this side of the earth , you will have day time. When the sun is on the other side of the earth you will have night.

Darkness is the abscense of visible light. On the other hand, Dark Matter and Dark Energy have been theorized to exist.

It is dark when no photons are hitting your eyes. So it is an absence of light.

If you are saying darkness doesn't exist, then guess what? I would think you are a mouse-brained..(sorry) and since you gave other possibilities, you are not..lolz... Well, darkness is something that exist. Your eyes are not very familiar to it. Your eyes are ver y sensitive about it....so, darkness exist!
