I just played Mozart's Concerto 1 K. 313 for an audition, and I really liked it. It has a beautiful slow section and the allegro section is fun too. I like how it leaves room for interpretation. Plus, a couple of the fast parts were a challenge, which was awesome.

If you haven't had your flute in for a COA (Clean/Oil/Adjust) within the last couple of years I would start with that. Over time your flute keys will go out of adjustment causing tiny leaks. If there are any problems with the flute, a professional cleaning will take care of them. You may be pleasantly surprised at the result. The next area I would concentrate on is support. Make sure you're engaging your abdominal muscles all the time, on every note. The difference between a well supported note and a limp, weak note is tremendous. The Trevor Wye Practice Book series is really helpful. The first book in the series is dedicated to tone. I wouldn't worry to much about the shape of your embouchure. It's very common to have an opening that's not symmetrical. If you have serious doubts about your embouchure, I'd suggest finding a flute teacher and having a few lessons. But nothing you mention suggests to me an embouchure problem. Good luck.

My favorites are Sonata in F by Telemain, La Flute de Pan, by Jules Moquiet, and The Gypsy Waltz by Christopher Caliendo. Sonata in F is about medium when it comes to difficulty. The other two are a tad difficult, but sound really great after putting some work into them. :-)

There are a few songs I like, but they're all old and not necessarily solos.
"Windy" by The Association
"Orange Skies" by Love
"California Dreamin'" - The Mamas & The Papas
