Hey! I dropped mine in a glass of water...I was trying to balance it on the rim. Anyway, take it apart and let it dry thoroughly. It may be sticky. Oh, and you can take aa blow dryer to it set on the cool setting. Mine wouldn't work for a couple of days, but amazingly, a few days later I turned it on and it worked!

YES! I just read this long article/blog on it. Take the battery and SIM out and either lay it in the sun for a while or put it in the oven at the lowest heat for about 20 min. This will salvage about 50% of wet phones. Good luck.

Not usually. Soda is corrosive and unless you washed the phone out immediately afterwards (not more water... nooooo), the carbonic acid (aka Carbonated Water) will corrode the delicate electronics inside the phone.
Most likely, if the phone is salvagable, the battery itself might not be. I'd take it to your cell phone provider's store and see if the tech can salvage it.

Take the battery and sim card out and leave it to dry for 24 hours. I dropped mine in a stream once ,and after leaving it to dry it worked fine.

nicely, that an exciting theory, yet I doubt it. eventually it truly is going to thaw out and nevertheless be moist. My son did not do away inclusive of his cellular telephone from his pocket before putting his pants contained in the wash and that replaced into the death of the phone.

I dunno if you consider this a quick fix... but I would immediately take out the battery and set the phone out to dry somewhere warm (ie: back of a TV set). leave it there for at least 24hrs.. athough 72+ hrs would be best, then place the battery back in and hope for the best.
