When I started at my current school, to get internet acess I had to get rid of my really nice virus software and firewall and put their really crappy, outdated one on, as well as download a bunch of other crap. I am transfering, and won't be getting internet acess there. I want to do a comlete return to how my computer was, new out of the box.... I don't mind losing the few documents I have. I know there is an option for this on windows... anyone have any advice/ pointers? Appreciated!

You can do a system restore. Please look at the link I provided below.

This is an easy way to restore your computer to it's original condition>>
My windows XP, was already loaded on my computer, when I bought it. These instructions, will clean everything off of your hard drive, so you must back up anything that you want to save. I have done this three times, and I got these instructions, from a computer tech. When starting your computer, tap the F-10 key. click on next-yes-and follow the instructions, that come up on your screen. When you are finished, your computer, will look just like it did, when you first bought it.Do these steps, in order, when finished.
1. set up windows firewall
2. windows update (click express)
3. install your anti-virus program (update)
4. install anti-spyware (update)
This is called a "system recovery"

Insert your original Windows Cd. Restart your computer and boot from CD. Format old drive and create a new partition and let everything work from there and yes make sure you have your drivers cd as well
