Use a computer that is already able to connect to your wireless network and put the ip address of the router in your browser.

This ip address can be found by running ipconfig from a command prompt. It will be the ip address of the default gateway...

It will prompt you for a password when you logon using your browser. If you and your family don't know it, then hold in the reset button on your router to reset it to the default settings...

Check documentation and/or manufacturer website for initial router password..

i'm afraid hypnosis is the sole thank you to retrieve it. you may although the two log in and alter it to a minimum of something you do comprehend, or in simple terms elementary reset the element to production unit default, and then log in and alter it something you do comprehend. in case you wind up having to reset it, you are trying this by using p[oking a recessed button with a pen for greater or less 30 seconds. then you definately login would be the two "admin" or maybe "root" or in simple terms elementary sparkling, and your password will the two be "admin" or "password", and you will have not got any encryption.

Depending on what kind of router you have, there might be a default WEP security key, it might be printed on the bottom or side of the router. Otherwise log in to your router's web management interface (usually at 192.168.1.1) and set a new key.

try opening your browser and connecting to 192.168.0.1 that is the private address of most routers and you should be able to connect to it and reset/set pw or whatever.. If that doesn't work look up the ip of your router via manufacturer's website..
