Not answer the question?
The reason I ask is because I had noticed that I had a thumbs up for a question before it had generated any answers.

I'm more likely to give a thumb rating if the question's closed.
Normally if I'm not going to answer it'd be the kind of Q that I might give a thumb down to.

Yeah I do that all the time when I don't feel like answering the question thumbs up.

Yeah I do, because if someone has proved a really excellent point then I will just put a thumbs up. It's an airtight reason why they think it. Sometimes I put a thumbs down for attention seakers or people who say really bad jokes and are trying to be sooper dooper funny, but just aren't!

Yes! I do! If I see a really good answer I will give it a thumb,s up and leave it at that, just done it a wile ago.

Yeah like say if someone asks something racist which i agree with. i give them a thumbs up to show my support, but dont answer coz i dont wanna run risk of violation.

Yes, but I usually give the thumbs up first and then answer. So if you click on your question becore I submit my response, it will appear that way.
