I mean i can understand what they say sometime cause i grew up listening to reggae...but sometimes i cant understand a dam thing that comes out of their mouth.....its like another version on english....and i thought us Atlanta boys talked funny

You can't understand it because they are speaking another language, well sort of. They are often speaking Patois a sort of Creole like language native to Jamaica. Like many islands in the Caribbean, Jamaica's Patois is a mix of Colonial English and some Native and Immigrant languages. In a lot of Reggae and especially in Dancehall they actually use words that someone who speaks American English would not recognize.

I love Reggae and I admit I don't always understand what they sometimes. But I have the same problem when I'm talking to someone from Boston. It's just the pronunciation and slang that gets me.

Yeah I know what you mean! Maybe it is the mix of the Jamacin accent with English that makes it so garbled man...You Atlanta boys are just fine...I am up the road from you in North Carolina.. Also, can you understand most of what Shaggy is saying?

I just enjoy the music if I dont understand the lyrics I dont try jus accept that what is being said is working with the music.
By the way I read your profile and you seem like a very nice person, ambition is good keep it moving never stop you have a level head and deserve success if you work for it and I will be working with you all the way I make my own luck.
