I don't. Am I a sociopath?

2006-12-14 09:15:02 · 8 answers · asked by Cristy 3 in Entertainment & Music Comics & Animation

"Look, I’m sorry for you. I don’t know how, but somewhere along the line, you got the idea that your own species is no better than any other species—that’s against evolution!" Actually, that's directly in accordance with evolution. It's against the jaded religious ideology of human superiority that most people swallow wholeheartedly. I refuse to make that type of value judgement on life. We're all on an equal playing field; each species has its own strength: mine/ours is my/our intellect - I'm/we're physically inept, theirs is their physicality, they're intellectually inept (for the most part). My species is no 'better' or more valuable than any other. (Actually, we're quite detrimental to our environment. Does that play into your whole value judgement system?) We're all in the rat race together- we just happen to be winning. The fact that I was born into a dominant species doesn't give any more value to my life than to any other animal's.

'Fittest' doesn't necessarily imply 'best' or 'most valuable', bub. 'Best adapted to the environment', perhaps... And, btw; I am a lifeguard. :)

Absolutely, I blame her! A human being is worth more than any number of puppies! How would you feel if you were one of those that she killed? Suppose you just accidentally got in her line of fire. Oh well, no hard feelings, right?

Suppose she only crippled you…?

Look, I’m sorry for you. I don’t know how, but somewhere along the line, you got the idea that your own species is no better than any other species—that’s against evolution! No species survives without thinking that they are better than the others, and deserve to live more even if it means killing the others! That’s what the ‘struggle of the fittest’ is all about! If you’re not loving your own kind, you’re not loving yourself. That’s self-destructive, and I don’t want you to self-destruct.

I’ve heard about college professors who throw trick questions at their classes like this, if they were to see a human drowning and a dog drowning, which one they would try to save. Who would YOU hire as a lifeguard?

Please, please, talk to someone about this. Your parents, teachers, a guidance counsellor, your family MD, a clergyman, somebody. I don’t know where you picked up the idea that what Lucy did could ever be right. But it can’t ever be right, except in fiction.

You think they ought to DIE just because they HURT the puppy…? So what would you do if they KILLED the puppy? Your sense of justice and punishment is all out of proportion! What if they hurt a human being? What if they killed a human being? Death is the only ultimate punishment we have. We can’t cheapen it by letting it be used every time we lose our temper.

It doesn’t matter if I’m the only one that disagrees. What Lucy did was wrong.

It was once now not rather that picture. You see them beat up the dog and stabbing in with a vase, and also you see blood on the end, they have been youngsters and so they failed to be aware of that Lucy was a diclonius. -have a great day =D
