Put her computer in the main room in the house where everyone usually is. That way you can supervise.

Kids these days are smart and can figure out ways to bypass security. Kids really shouldn't be allowed computers in their own rooms as it's not as easy to supervise what they're doing. THey don't get into trouble just on the internet. She could be getting something via her friends.

No better parental control than the parent themself.

i'm a parent and locate it laughable. My 9 365 days previous can get around parental controls, she's in no way had them imposed on her on our computing device for the youngsters, yet has performed with the appliance that got here with the computing device. She's no longer even what i could call a tech-vulnerable baby, and he or she gets around it. maximum of her acquaintances are extra stepped forward than she is on desktops, video games structures, and so on, and that they'd get around it somewhat actually. mothers and fathers think of their childrens are dumb and that they attempt to maintain them dumb, even though it hardly works. this is a case of underestimation and a desire to regulate. i do no longer % my childrens observing porn, my oldest is in basic terms 9 so that's not proper, yet i'm specific it is going to take place. regardless of blockers set, she has gotten popups of a few somewhat disgusting web pages whilst she became on my previous virus-riddled artwork computing device. an oz. of prevention is worth a pound of remedy. i could somewhat seek advice from my childrens approximately pornography and the pictures they are bombarded with someplace else, than attempt to stay away from them from seeing it or override their interest with guilt, shame and punishment. I seek advice from them approximately why that's not sensible or wholesome, and why pornography - incredibly in extra - can create problems with physique image, unrealistic expectancies, and dangerous gender suggestions. That way if - whilst - they are uncovered to porn, even the terrible pictures of an over-processed provocatively posed lady plastered on the element of the bus, they'll have already got the be attentive to-how that it is not genuine and is not any longer wholesome if it gets out of hand.

Since she is 7 years old, maybe using more adult (your) supervision would be beneficial.

As she grows older, a program that I have seen have great results is CyberPatrol, located here: http://www.cyberpatrol.com/
