perhaps, bipolargirl, they assume that you are crazy because you are bipolar or just like to label yourself as bipolar.
ha. well, people will not like you as much if you do not have the same interests as them first of all. often you like someone who is more similar to you. but also, society has certain standards of things that are average or common or NORMAL that when not followed, they get curious..

You are painting "People" with a very broad brush, while at the same time not specifiying what particular kind of behaviour you are referring to. I know a lot of people personally, who are "into"particular hobbies that I do not share; behaviours that I do not practise myself, and aspects of entertainment in which I have no personal interest. So far, down through the years of my life, nobody has ever called me "crazy" for it.
On the other hand, if we take some example such as a person addicted to body piercings, or who has huge areas of their skin tattooed, I have certainly heard more "regular" people refer to them as "crazy". I may not openly say that to the person, but privately, and in my own mind, I happen to think so too LOL.

i have no idea, but i know what you mean. every one thinks i am crazy or something, my neighbor asked my aunt,( i live with my aunt) if i was crazy or something cuz i act like a little kid all the time. i was like no, i just don't care what any one thinks so i do what i want. and i have so much fun being me. cuz i don't care if they think i am acting weird. so what. but yeah back to your question, i think that they just assume that we are supost to act a certan way at certan ages, so when we act different, they attomatically think we are crazy. yep that's what i think.

Because they are a$$holes.
Not everyone is like that. People with open minds may not understand you, but they don't assume that if you don't conform to their conventions that you're a nutjob.
I know exactly what you're talking about.

at least 95% can't think for themselves or even imagine what that would be like
anyone actually has opinions and thinks is suspect
it used to be worse in most places
