All of these things require my attention: my dog, my girlfriend, my family, my friends, my basic needs (hunger, horney), society, my personal well-being (exercise), Work, my need of entertainment (my PSP is lots of fun, TV, internet), things that need to be done (errands, chores, etc). I am being pulled and tugged and begged for attention by each. I only have so many hours in the day. Who/what should I give my attention to?How do I decide what's important. Thanks for your suggestions, and happy holidays

Only you can decide what is important. Learn to say no to some things. and get other people in on the process (for ex, if you parents and your girlfriend are each demanding your time but you are oh-so-close to the next level on that PSP game, let them know you'd really like to do whatever it is with them, but could you do it the next day since you are so close to this goal on your game and if you get past the game, you will be able to concentrate on your time with them fully).

Many people find balance difficult.
You must find a way to prioritize.
What is neccessary? What is nice but not neccessary?
What is a waste of time?
Can you multiprocess? Women can iron, talk on the phone, play with the baby and watch TV at the same time, and do it all well.
Schedules seem too regimented to me, but work for some.
Or learn to tolerate chaos.

Just wait until you get into the working world. It will be even worse then.
You have to divive your time up according to what is most important to you. People should always come before games because they do have feelings.

Prioritize. Obviously work, people and your dog should come first - and then the stuff you need to get done. Then the rest of it. (Wait till you have kids! That is if you plan to.)
Happy holidays
