A majority of America's middle schools and high schools today are still taught by white women teachers. How do you think this affects the quality of education of the youth of America?

I don' think the quality of education has anything to do with white women teaching. I think the unions have a lot to do with it. Teachers can't teach what they think is important. Schools are going bankrupt because of pensions and raises that teachers demand. They forget that they are only employed 200 days out of the year! They are there to teach! not for the retirement plan. Those are the bad teachers. Then you just can't fire a teacher because of the union unless something major happens. So a teacher can be doing a poor job and there is nothing anyone can do about it because of the messed up "me, me, me!" unions!

I disagree. Its not the teachers, its the programs. Bush's No Child Left Behind directive has all schools telling kids they can all go to college, and there are no vocational programs available. All kids are not college material, and need training in occupational skills, they need job training. And in the Hispanic and African-American cultures the families place no importance on education. And here at my school in southern california we have three teachers from the Phillipines, one from Viet Nam, and two from Africa, not to mention the many hispanic and african americans. Not all teachers are white women!
