I personally would not wear tampons unless I planned on being very active (sports, working out, walking) or go swimming because of the risk of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome).

Periods usually last 7 days, but could go longer. Since you are just getting your first period make sure you have a supply of pads/tampons around just in case you are not every 28 days.

Every 28 days is how often people usually get their period, but it could be anywhere from 20 days to several months before the next one. Do not fret if you don't get them every 28 days!

Congrats on getting your period. Periods usually last about 3-7 days. Your period might be a little bit irregular the first few years but that's normal. You are not too young to wear tampons because you have your period. Before you get tampons, though, read this page. It should help you out a lot.

It all depends on your body. It could last from 3-5 days to more than a week. Usually only about 5 days, but since you just started you will be irregular for a while. You aren't too young to wear tampons, theyre the best thing out there. Just make sure you are comfortable with wearing them :) They are much easier and cleaner then pads!

sweetie it all depends. 1-6 days (since it's your first and your young probably 1-3 days). I would recommend using pads. I feel that if you want to use tampons to get all organic tampons at a health food store. Tampons can cause a lot of side effects and it also doesn't let nature take it's course by letting ALL of your flow or blood out.

No you're not to young to wear tampons but depending on how intact your hymen is (the skin that normally gets 'popped' when you have sex) you may or may not be able to get it in. Just read the instructions on the box and be patient because it takes practice. Most periods last anywhere from 3 to 7 days. Congrats on becoming a woman!!

Each person varies with their period. It can last from 2 to 5 days. Try wearing pads. If you thing tampons are more comfortable than pads, You should wear tampons. Little advice. When you get your pain from your cramps, try putting some ice in a plastic bag.

It can last anywhere from 2 to 5 days. Some people go for 7 days. It depends on the person and what your body feels is right for it. As for tampon wearing, check with your mother and make sure that she agrees with you using them. As for too young? I don't think so. And it won't DE-FLOWER you if you do use them.

Like the other ladies said, how long it will last is different for everyone. It can last anywhere from 2-7 days, and can be different everytime you get it.

As for the tampons, there's no age limit. I would talk to your mom and see if she is comfortable with you using them. If you decide that you are going to try them you may want to get the "junior" size. They are slimmer and may be easier for you to use until you get used to them. Tampons are pretty tricky when you first try to use them, so don't get discouraged if you don't get it right the very first time.

How long it lasts on the person! For me it lasts 5-10 days. Some people it lasts for only 3 days. It changes every time you have your period. I would expect around a week.

omg congrats
but dont worry u can go to your parent for advice or even a school counceler
tampons i prefer not unless im doing some kind of sport and definitly not to sleep
your period may last1-7 days or more because it is your first time just as long as u told your mom but dont worry u dont have to tell your dad ur mom will probably do that for u
also if u get cramps take a warm bath or if ur out and get a cramp then put a heated water battle on your stoamach and it will feel much better
but just dont worry you will soon get over it
all girls start soonner or later
