Okay you read something in a fictional book then used it in real life, is this breaking copyright?

What have you used in real life if you have done it before?

I know someone who stole someones name out of a fictional book and now want to use it as their pen name, that is what prompted this question

Did you ever read Tom Brown's Schooldays? And have you ever come across 'The Adventures of Flashman' by George McDonald Fraser? Flashman, the hero of those novels, is actually the bully and Tom Brown's tormentor from said schooldays - quite brilliant.....so anyway, to cut a long and boring story short, no you aren't breaking copywright.

Myself, I would go with Marquis de Sade as my pen name, or would that be Marquess? Nah, just kidding, I'm somewhat delirious again this morning.........and its Friday - yeh!
