If it hurts and you cant stand for more than five minutes you need to get clutches, because if you dont - that will delay healing and also you need to check about fibres if they are damaged and muscles. you might need medical help.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

I sprained mine like 5 times, No need for crutches, Just give it 2-4 days for the pain to go away. Lay off it as much as you can. Nothing to worry about, Be thankfull you didn't break it. then you would need crutches.

for a sprain you need 2 bowls of water. 1 cold & the other as HOT as you can bare.
1st place your foot in the cold one then move it to the hot 1.
Keep doing this. I know what im on about i was a professional footballer.
keep ALL your weight off of it for 2 or 3 days or a quicker & stronger heal

First of all, go see a doctor. Second of all, if you do decide that crutches are the way to go keep in mind that you must not rest them in your armpit and allow all of your weight to you rest on them. Get what I'm saying...use them to HELP you walk, don't depend on them to support your entire body weight. Doing that can cause damage to your axillary nerve...and that my dear isn't good. Maybe basketball isn't your sport,,,

if its serious yeh get crutches, but ankles sprains heal rather quickly so if its minimal u dont need em'. if you're not sure though, dont take any chances, go and c a doctor

a sprain is no laughing matter,in fact it is a common word to describe a stretched or mildly torn ligament,u should definitly be on crutches, some athletes say that they would rather have a fracture that a torn ligament, hope u feel better soon.

Can you walk without them? (Even though you are limping) I didn't get crutches when I sprained mine. But from my understanding, they are a pain it the butt!
