Call your big box stores (Target, Best Buy, etc.) and ask when they add stock. My Target store unveils theirs at 8 AM for example. I got a PS3 just by showing up at 7:55 AM

Most retail stores such as Best Buy and Target have been holding their stock of Wii's to be released on Sunday December 17th. Your best chance is to go and wait in line early Sunday morning.
