The diversity! Not only do we have white/non-Hispanic, Hispanic, Black, Native American and a bit of Asian peoples mingling in a friendly manner, but we have all kinds of landscapes. We have beaches (minus the ocean) at White Sands National Park, glorious white sand and beautiful dunes. We have desert in the southern part of the state, plains in the eastern part of the state, mountains in the north and down the middle, forests here and there... hot springs, ancient ruins.... sunsets that will take your breath away!
The people are pretty laid back (except for people that recently moved here and haven't "mellowed" yet) and fairly friendly. OK, so the service in our restaurants isn't all that great but the food is delicioius.
We do have some lakes, boating and fishing opportunities, we have skiiing in the winter, camping all year round....
Oh, and did I mention our festivals? Hot air balloons! Renaissance Faires! Native American feasts and pow-wows! Cinco de Mayo festivals! Day of the Dead celebrations! Wine festivals... oh, yeah, we have vineyards and they produce a respectable product at a reasonable price!
This is New Mexico and, yes, we are "The Land of Enchantment!" Everybody should come visit us some time!

I lived in the north east most of my life I got tired of waiting from year to year for a nice spring ( not wet ) and a nice summer ( not cool ) so I moved to FLORIDA
sun sun and more sun, almost all year round sun, and if and when it rains usually it is for about an hour, then more sun, the nice weather, today it was 19 out, great beaches, nice parks, free parks every where for kids to play in, ( many many parks ) and places to walk in those parks, fishing YEAR round, so much I can not put it all here even if I could continue to write for two days
not to mention the bikinis, oh the bikinis....the dolphins swimming by as your sitting on the beach watching the dolphins swim by.
so so much to say
love it
thank you
smile
good luck

hmm... I guess I'm going to have to say the people. In Wisconsin the people I have to say are the nicest, and the deer hunting, fishing just doing outdoorsy stuff but then i can go into the city two seconds away. I also love are weather... These past couple weeks were the perfect example, the news was saying it was the hottest weather in winter and then a couple days later we had a snow day....and now all the snow is melted and gone ... two weeks later... its amazing ....

I live in a state of complete disarray. Quite frankly, it's not much fun. However, I do like how I can find a three week old mint under the sofa and it still tastes as minty fresh as the day it was purchased.
