Punch up "Polygraph Examiners" on Google. There are a LOT of independent polygraph examiners in this country, the best kept secret of the century. This service is NOT available ONLY to police investigators.
Cost can run from to $500 to $2500 depending on the situation and the legal documentation required. The cops really hate it when people demand and can afford their own examiners who's reputations for accuracy exceeds that of the service used by the cops and prosecutors. Wheee.... here comes the Judge...

Call your state police branch--they usually administer them at the request of local law enforcement. A criminal defense lawyer can arrange it for you for around 500$ or less.

Call any private detective agency (Yellow Pages) and they will point you in right direction. Cost? Depends on your location.
