I realize that there are a lot of questions on here already about the topic, however none of the topics given in answers seemed to appeal to me or someone else in my class is doin it already, so basically I need a creative topic that no one else would come up with...

Cats are woman's best friends.
Lucky Charms is the best cereal.
High school sucks [compared to: middle school; college; etc].
People should wear mood rings all the time.
Life requires super-powers (but we all have them).
Taking care of others (i.e. having a child, taking care of elderly parents etc) builds character.
Working part-time while in school builds determination and goal-achievement.
The public-private school debate is misguided.
We should create a student-run radio station here.
Online personals are great for making friends (this could get laughs).
We need to creat a ___ after school club.
It isn't enough to just vote -- express your voice by getting involved in government.
cheers and good luck!

If you REALLY want to get creative, do a persuasive speech on something that is completely against the norm like why a person SHOULD smoke or why someone SHOULD eat fast food everyday
If you're not quite that outlandish, write a speech about why a certain film or actor/actress should win an award, or why it is more important to read a book than just watch the movie
Good luck!

Should fashion designers be forced to design toward the average woman for the health of models?
Is it ethical for celebrities to take on environmental causes when they do not practice what they preach?
Is it showing Christian values for churches build large metachurches when people are starving in the community it is being built?
Should the public display of religious winter holiday symbols be protected under the Bill of Rights?
Should young children be exposed to adult-themed music or films by public institutions such as schools (right now there's a first grade PE class listening to mature-themed music during P.E. and I was not informed my 7th grader was watching "School of Rock" which is a PG-13 film) yet be held liable if they do it, themselves?
So many things . . . I hope one of these springboards you forward.

You can really only be passionately persausive about something that YOU care deeply about. We cannot tell you what YOU care about.
Look through the newspaper or an online news service to find a story that deals with a topic you feel strongly about.
Write down some words or phrases about this topic. These will clump together into your three main points.
As in any speech,
tell them what you will tell them,
tell them,
then tell them what you told them.
Good luck!

Ah yes, I've been through that...what I did was, I thought of some things that I was passionate about, or interested in and knew a good amount about. Then, it was a piece cake, becasue I knew what I was talking about, and I was driven to write because I liked the topic. I would suggest you try the same. It worked for me, might work for you too.

1. Why global warming is something that world wide we should worry about?
2. Should ACT and SAT be required to get into college?
3. Is America the only superpower?
4. Should marijuana be made legal?
Hope those topics helped or sparked something in your head to maybe give you other ideas as well.

I have a friend who did a speech about donating blood. If you call the American Red Cross (assuming you're American) they will mail you some of those plastic bracelets (for free!) that you could hand out.
