Why are clothes being marketed to people in urban cities being named after monkeys and chimps? I, being a black male myself, wouldn't even buy anything named after primates.

What?! You cannot be serious. Bathing Apes was first sold in Japan my friend. U feel offended by the brand name "Bathing apes"?! You consider yourself a monkey or something? I know that racist people call black people monkeys and stuff but why should u feel offended?! I know im a human being just like the rest of the people walking the face of this earth and i know i aint no monkey. Are u telling me that if u would go to the zoo and a man standing next to you would say something like "OMG look at this ugly monkey!" You would turn around and say "are u talking to me??!?" when in truth they were actually looking at a monkey in a cage? Come on man. Bathing Apes has NOTHING to do with your race. Its a brand name and its made for whoever wears urban clothing which are not only blacks!

Why not. Whats wrong with primates? They are beautiful, intelligent, and interesting, not to mention strong and our cousins (and not just the black folks).
I know, being black we're suppose to be monkeys but come on man, you've been to school, you should know by now you're not a monkey but a man!!!

You can only look at the label negatively if you, yourself, have an opinion in which the image of you is an ape. Bathing Ape was first sold in Japan, so I doubt it has racial connotation, but then again who knows? If the brand was called Bathing Darkie, then there would probably be a problem.
