The problem is that although at this juncture it's fairly certain that the Earth's climate is changing, their are a lot of unknowns regarding why it's changing and how much the various factors might be contributing to it. Human activity is almost certainly one factor, but we have been in a gradual warming period ever since the last ice age.

If we just consider the effect of greenhouse gases, it appears that it's rather like a speeding frieght train. Once the process gets going, it takes quite awhile to slow it down and stop it. Probably the best we can do at this juncture is try to limit emissions so as to not make the problem worse that it already is.

If we were to totally stop greenhouse gas emissions today (which of course won't happen), it is likely that the climate would nevertheless continue to change as a result of what's already been emitted for some decades to some.

It's kind of hard to find reliable information on this subject owing to how politicized the issue has been.

Hiya - I dont think we can stop Global Warming but I am a firm believer that we can help slow the process down. Everyone can do there bit and all it takes is a little bit of research and cutting down on things that harm the environment around us. Use the internet to get your answers - recycle where you can and cut down on emissions if you use fossil fuels and vehilcles

No! If something, international warming would strengthen the form and severity of hurricanes. by using fact the tropics heat the Hadley cellular extends added north and the fewer energetic Ferrel cellular is moved added north. this would furnish a miles better geographic selection over which hurricanes would circulate and strengthen in intensity.

1) This isn't math, it belongs in environmental science.
2) We don't know enough to be able to answer that question.
If it is man made, we should be able to at least reduce it.
If it is completely natural, there is nothing we can or should try to do.

a theoretical answer would be to discover alternatives to fossil fuels, such as hydrogen fuel cells for cars. no way to "get rid of it", other than to let the earth heal itself, which will take longer than the chlorofluorocarbons to kill the ozone layer
