They work for about two weeks and then your cat will chew them off or they will just wear off... then you will have to buy more. So its a waste of money in my opinion... My two cats are declawed and they dont claw any of my furniture, carpet, wall paper, or toilet paper anymore.... They were fine after the procedure and still are happy cats.... I think its horrible to do too, but I had no other choice....

Yep. They don't work in my opinion. Eventually the claws tear through them and you're in the same mess. If you're thinking about getting your kitty declawed, I don't think it's inhumane or creul or anything like that. I have two cats that have been completely declawed for well over a year and they're not psychologically scarred or emotional distressed and never were. Good luck!

I've heard good and bad about them. I was going to buy them for my kitty...actually, I think I did...but we just cut her nails once a week. Seems to work for her. As for the person who said to declaw your cat...don't take that advice, please. They don't just take a cat's claws out of it's paw...they amputate part of their toes. It hurts like a mother and can get really infected. I say just go with cutting your animals nails often...just be careful not to cut too short or you'll get their vein.

I have used them on my dogs and they work wonders! I recommend the pets are primary inside though, because they wearoff fast when they go outside a lot.
