Why is Paris Hilton so famous when shes done nothing to be famous for?

The reason she is famous is the same reason that some one had to ask this question. She is famous because we( everyone including me) have made her famous. If we would stop talking about her, buying magazines that have her pictures in them, stop purchasing and or listening to her music, or watching her television shows then she would no longer be famous. The old adage is true "If you ignore it , it will go away" But by the number of people who answered just this question alone. That is not going to happen any time soon.

Well, she was in this porn video. Called either "A Night in Paris" or "One Night In Paris" /what happened was her date video-taped their sex without her knowing it and sold copies of it. Her parents own the Hilton Hotel chains. It was on 20/20 tv program a few years ago. It's a big scandal.

There's a difference between 'famous' and infamous', and it's not just in the spelling.
She must be paying her agent an outrageous sum of money to make sure the press is where ever she's going to be. I have yet to see a picture of her when she wasn't posed and in full makeup.
