Many natural numbers can be written as the sum of consecutive numbers. here are some examples:
10 = 1+2+3+4
33 = 16+17

18 = 5+6+7
75 = 13+14+15+16+17
We might use inductive reasoning to conclude that every natural number can be written as the sum of consecutive numbers. Find a counterexample to show that this is not true.

How about the number one (1)? It cannot be written as the sum of consecutive natural numbers. :-)
