There is no market.
There is no talent.
There is no substance.
Left-wing political talk always falls flat on its ugly face because talk radio is a conservative-dominated medium. It has been and, as long as the majority of mainstream media outlets like network news, big city newspapers, music, television and movies maintain their liberal biases, it always will be.
Liberals think anybody can be a radio host, but the fact is, they can't. It requires talent. You can't just hire anybody with a recognizable name and a liberal tilt to flap their gums on the radio for three hours. Almost none of AAR's on-air personalities are trained broadcasters; they're merely names that the company decided to hire for an initial boost in ratings. That is why Jerry Springer - a man about as qualified to be a political commentator as my toe - ended his show after a pathetic two years, citing "how much work it is." No, really, Jer? I thought you just opened your mouth in front of a microphone and out came brilliance. Al Franken, host of Air America Radio's flagship program, "The Al Franken Show," is a talented satirist. But that talent does not transcend to live radio. He hardly ever gives a monologue; leaving the majority of the work to his guests and co-host. This is typical of liberal radio, bringing me to my next and final point:
No substance. Right-wing political talk is riddled with hosts that employ over-simplified rhetoric and pro-Republican dogma, but it's not without its stars. Michael Savage is an experienced ethnobotanist, anthropologist, epidemiologist, and nutritionist, and he brings that knowledge, along with a natural talent for broadcasting, to the airwaves. You have to have MORE than politics to be a talk show host; you have to have HEART - something none of the lefties have when it comes to political talk.
And that is why liberal talk radio always fails.

Liberals aren't excited about losing time being attentive to radio speak indicates . They decide on to hear track on the grounds that they're clever ample to grasp that speak radio is solely amusement for fools . They don't even like to hear liberals who talk the reality . What is received from speak radio ? Nothing is what . You may have all of the speak you desire however public protests and rallies are a lot more robust . When used to be the final time you noticed a conservative march or rally . Prohibition probably . Anti abortion demonstrations . See liberals already realize those matters are a waste of time and aid the ACLU and different corporations that make a difference . Green peace ,PETA and different liberal corporations are tremendous advertisers on radio . LOL

Many "republicans" are in rural areas... they listen to the radio alot. Many Democrats enjoy the television to get their news as it is readily available to them in more populated areas. This seems too simple an answer, but a valid one. We just discussed this in our Poli-Sci class yesterday at Gonzaga U. Of course that is not the only factor(s). Personally, I believe, a lot of people like Republican ideals (maybe not how they use their power, etc...) because they are traditionally similar to their own upbringing and Democrats fail to provide their viewers of such values. Democrats have good reasoning behind their value system, but aren't able to clearly deliver the package. Many are democrats by association of our political trends. It is not popular to be republican. The radio give people what they want in their own privacy.

"liberals" have every other news source cornered, according to conservatives...
so they get am radio... and fox news on tv... but only that one channel...
everyone says newspapers are majority liberal, tv news is majority liberal...
why can't conservatives get more than one foothold (Fox News) in any of the other markets besides am radio?
if conservatives wanted to get into the telegraph market, they could probably corner that too...

Liberals don't enjoy the juvenile bashing that much, but more importantly, advertisers won't back it. The big money is behind the Republicans. In case you don't know it, the tax cuts given to corporatons and rich individuals have cemented their loyalty to the Party, and they express their appreciation by not backing liberal talk radio.

My personal take is that the left works on a crisis basis, with everything a serious problem, leaving less room for levity and an entertaining atmosphere.
