Everquest costs I believe 14.95 a month. The official website is www.Everquest.com.
If you are just starting out on Everquest 1, don't bother. If you haven't started when it just came out then it will be very hard to get to the top end of the game. It is mostly made up of very high guilds that are nearly impossible to get into. The game is mostly made up of group/guild content higher in the game.
There is also Everquest 2, same price per month. Everquest 2 is a bit more solo oriented which is very nice. You can hit the highest level of the game without even grouping once. Its very easy to learn with all the help buttons.
Silkroad is also another mmorpg. The nice thing about this is its free... totally free. Type it into a search engine and download it for free. It actually looks pretty good also for being free. Although Silkroad can be very repititive at times.
My suggestion would be to try Silkroad first, download play it and see if you like it. Then try Everquest 2. Download a free trail version from the website. www.Everquest2.com

Heres a good online RPG game. Its a multiplayer game too.
Its called Zeus' Legacy.
Free,fun,worthwhile,and non-download.

Neverwinter Nights 2. Good Stuff it is. I got it for 57 bucks at Fred Meyer, but, of course... Thats Fred Meyer
