Rosie O'Donnell was all over Mel Gibson and Michael Richards for their racists remarks, and even accused Kelly Rippa of being homophobic. With Rosie's recent insult towards Asians, why do you think she considers her words "a joke" and everyone else's "a problem"? Why is it ok for Rosie's people to say "She clarified her position on Dec. 10, calling the bit 'comedy'" if Michael Richard's rant wasn't "comedy"?

And does it matter if you mock and insult people with a big smile? If people laugh, it's ok- if they don't you're a racist?

Rosie is a loud mouthed, over opinionated, pain in the butt. I used to like her, but I can't stand looking at her now, much less listening to her. No matter what, she has to be right and have the last word. I haven't watched the view since she started on it, and even tuned out Nip/Tuck when she co-starred. Hope she doesn't join that cast because I won't watch.

Rosie the self-righteous should have been more careful in throwing stones, and, like another poster said, now she is a giant hypocrite and a zero in credibility.

As an aside, you would notice that Jesse Jackson "forgave" Michael Richards. This may be because Jesse Jackson had his own slip ups in the past (ie "Hymietown",etc) and knows that we are all human and capable of slip ups and such especially when 'joking'. But Rosie I wont forgive cause she is a hypocrite.

I do think that it was rude of Rosie to mock the Asian language. She should apologize. However, I think it was a little different from Michael Richards' "rant" though, because he was clearly angry and no one in the audience was laughing, whereas on the "View" her co-hosts were heard laughing at her. Mocking the sound of a language, while offensive, is still different than claiming that someone should have a "fork up their a**" or that an entire religion is responsible for all the wars. As for Kelly's comment about Clay Aiken, that was really blown out of proportion.

I couldn't agree more with Kia's answer. The only thing is that Rosie's comment was meant to be funny, not to disrespect Chinese people or their language, however she knows that View was not really a place to use that kind of joke. That's more of a joke to use during a stand-up routine where people are more free to make fun of other people/cultures/etc as long as its not mean-spirited like Michael Richard's and Mel's. And, Kelly's wasn't homophobic she was just being a *****, like Kia said.

Michael Richards rant wasn't comedy, he committed that act out of anger, there is a major difference there, please watch the video if you haven't seen it. If Asians were booing Rosie and she said such things out of anger that is when it should be taken seriously. If that act was apart of Kramer's performance then it wouldn't be a big deal because white comedians have use the N word and picked at blacks forever, but it was apart of their ACT NOT OUT OF ANGER BECAUSE TWO GUYS HECKLED HIM. I don't understand why that isn't obvious. But in regards to Mel and Richards they truly are racists and they don't like the race they insulted. Kelly on the other hand was being a Bit*h becuause Clay was taking over the show and Rosie was being herself by calling her out... There is a major difference between Rosie and Mel & Michael....

i think mike richard's racist slur became worse than Mel Gibson's. even nonetheless i became on no account keen on michael richards or the seinfield tutor, yet i think of what he did became way out of line. If he became racist whilst he suggested what he suggested 8 years in the past he became a racist from the commencing up. He ought to on no account be considered on television back after what he executed!
