Bravo had a top 100 scariest movie moments on not long ago and Saw was mentioned, can you believe the torture devices they used in the movie were actually real. I thought they were just made up for the movie, but the writer of Saw said they were real devices, he wanted to make the film look authentic. Also the scene in the 2nd film, were the girl jumps into the pit of syringes, those apparently were real as well.

Fact is always stranger than fiction. The fact is that there are real serial killers, killing people and that is bad enough. Saw is a movie, fiction. It takes imagination. But I believe anything and all things are possible. Sad but true.

I don't know because I have never, nor do I ever plan to watch such trash. Movies like that do not hold any entertainment value or any value at all. All they do is to encourage psychos to go out and be copy cats. There are no redeemable qualities to making movies like this which glorify violence and make human life seem disposable.
