I belive it totally there is no rights group that will help with it though all of the rights groups state we are horrible to the prisoners andf how evil our military is.

i'm glad i'm not in charge, since they wear no uniforms they could be shot on sight or summerly executed as spies or sabotaurs according to the Geneva codes, gitmo would be a ghost town since no one would be going there. they wear no insignia and hide their arms.. so that puts them into the role mentioned above and the convention does NOT apply to them

Art 4. A. Prisoners of war, in the sense of the present Convention, are persons belonging to one of the following categories, who have fallen into the power of the enemy:
(1) Members of the armed forces of a Party to the conflict, as well as members of militias or volunteer corps forming part of such armed forces.

(2) Members of other militias and members of other volunteer corps, including those of organized resistance movements, belonging to a Party to the conflict and operating in or outside their own territory, even if this territory is occupied, provided that such militias or volunteer corps, including such organized resistance movements, fulfil the following conditions:[
(a) that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates;
(b) that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance;
(c) that of carrying arms openly;
(d) that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.

(3) Members of regular armed forces who profess allegiance to a government or an authority not recognized by the Detaining Power.

(4) Persons who accompany the armed forces without actually being members thereof, such as civilian members of military aircraft crews, war correspondents, supply contractors, members of labour units or of services responsible for the welfare of the armed forces, provided that they have received authorization, from the armed forces which they accompany, who shall provide them for that purpose with an identity card similar to the annexed model.

(5) Members of crews, including masters, pilots and apprentices, of the merchant marine and the crews of civil aircraft of the Parties to the conflict, who do not benefit by more favourable treatment under any other provisions of international law.

(6) Inhabitants of a non-occupied territory, who on the approach of the enemy spontaneously take up arms to resist the invading forces, without having had time to form themselves into regular armed units, provided they carry arms openly and respect the laws and customs of war.

i'm relatively sorry for what you and your babies have been by way of. You suggested which you're a nicely in many situations occurring recording artist/actress in the united kingdom, so which you have the capacity of the media. it relatively is easily as much as you, yet those days it style of feels that the only time substitute happens is whilst the traditional public locate out approximately such issues, in any different case it particularly is stored hidden by making use of the armed forces. If it occurred on your loved ones, i'm beneficial it occurred and is occurring to many different armed forces families. it relatively is an quite difficult selection, however the capacity of the media is especially reliable. i myself think of you need to evaluate making this public. you need to be reliable for you and your babies, yet you on no account understand what different families you would be able to shop by making use of telling your tale and enable the traditional public understand the very fact of what is going on, in any different case it particularly is going to be swept decrease than the carpet and shop occurring and on. Be reliable and remember, by making use of asking this question you have already made the 1st step. i'm very happy with you.

In every war there has been cases of abuse from each side involved. That's what war is like. We already know al Qaeda is inhumane, but what's to say our military isn't? Is it possible to humanely engage in war? I don't really think so. If there wasn't a war in the first place, these things wouldn't happen.

Sounds just like a real prison, except filled with people never convicted who have no hope of release. If you were brave enough to join the service and were a guard at Gitmo, and I was a "guest", I'd exercise what little liberty I had and throw feces, the only thing I have.

The fact of the matter is that none of the people claiming 'torture' and 'illegal' care about the truth. If they face the truth then they will have to admit that their claims of torture were hot air - and that they owe every member of the US military an apology.

Can you see them doing this - ever?

The US is letting this happen, I take it. How else?

Looking at the Abu Ghraib photographs,and the "fun" some christian fundamentlaists had,I would say the US is home to some seriously sick right-wing nationalists who join the military.

Thank Bush for our splendid exercise in "liberating" Iraq.

That's too much for you to understand,I know.

They're nothing but animals, those detainees, they're nothing but street rats. They need to be roughed up. The Red Cross is trying to file suit because we are torturing them by "making them too fat by feeding them too much". Screw that dude, these prisoners need to be beaten if they throw piss and feces

Those inmates are nothing but scum! I will refrain from commenting on what I would do to them if I were in charge. Just goes to show how much class out military men and women have.

If they throw feces, they shouldn't be allowed to have anything that might help them to produce more.

Alternatively, I am all for having them all subsist on pork lips and rice. The only reading material they should get is George Wallace campaign speeches.

That website didn't strike me as being very partisan...it looked a bit spookily religious too.
