i like gamecube more. ps2 doesn't have very many good original games. most of them are weird japanese ones. the gamecube has mario games, super smash bros, monkey ball, and zelda. i also like the gamecube controller better than the ps2 one.

There are a ton of factors that you need to consider. Though I love the Gamecube and it does have Mario, Zelda, and Metroid if you don't like these games then skip it. The majority of the games are aimed at kids and there are practically no titles available for it in comparison to the PS2. The PS2 had the best (most versatile) controller this last generation you can use it for all games and there are thousands of different titles in all kinds of genres. Also because the PS3 is out there are a ton of games you can pick up for nothing that are great. Like God of War, the Jax and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Madden's, etc.

It really depends on what your looking for. PS2 has a huge game library and you can also play ps1 games on it as long as you have a ps1 memory card. the gamecube is fun and has lots of multiplayer capabilities but you would get more playtime on ps2 with its and the ps1 game library
