When the dog his born he is like a 6 yr old child. Every years from 6 you add 7 years.

if your dog is turning 6 the he is 41 years old
5x7 not 6x7 because the 1st year is 6 year not 7
5x7=35 then 35+6=41

as of now your dog is 34

It is a common belief that 1 human year is equal to 7 dog years. That is not very accurate, since dogs reach adulthood within the first couple of years. The formula to be used is from a canine expert and is a bit more accurate. (as accurate as one can judge these things)

The formula is: 10.5 dog years per human year for the first 2 years, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after.

So, your dog in human years is: 33
