How can I make my laptop only connect to our BT Home Hub as Ive got two belkin54g's in the near area and it trys to connect to them. Is there anyway to only allow my laptop to connect to my BT Home Hub?

In the wireless options there should be an option "Connect to preferred network only" or something similar, that would do it if you set your router to be the preferred network. The wireless options most likely would be in the bottom right of Windows in the system tray. Otherwise read the wireless card's documentation to find out how to access the configuration.

Depends on whether windows or the software that came with your PC/wireless card handles the wireless connection.

In windows open network connections, right click on your wireless connection and select properties and select Wireless Network Tabs. In here you can choose the order in which windows prefers different networks.

If your connection uses different software this will be greyed out but there should be similar options in whatever your wireless card uses.

The only other thing you could do is find the people with the other connnections and get them to set up wireless security so you can't connect to them and it should default to the only one it can connect to.

Yes, right click on wireless networks select properties then click on preferred networks and have yours be the top one.

am nt a expert but a think u can change the chanel which other people arent using
