Deal or No Deal

It was by chance actually, and I was there. It was funny. I dropped a piece of chocolate under the punch bowl, and when I bent over to pick it up it rolled under the table...

So I climbed under there and the fool was down there eating brownies that somebody told him had hash in them (they really didn't).

So I go and tell the host of the party that there is a fool under the table, and she gets so enraged that she starts throwing things everywhere - including a cell phone, her husband's favorite remote, a kitten and a bag of money that was accidentally left there by a German spy.

So the bag had a note in it that was in some kind of code, and the best we could understand it said "HIS MONEY" on it. Since the fool was holding the money at the time we figured out what the German code meant (loosely translated), we decided it must be, in fact, His.

The rest is history.

Sheer luck and/or trust funds. The idea of a fool is that fortunes come and go with him/her because he/she isn't looking into the long distance. Sometimes providence allows people to make strange friendships and connections which are lucrative. The wise person realizes what s/he has. The fool doesn't.
