yesterday there was a small amount of white discharge on my underwear when i was going to the bathroom i noticed. Then i i looked at the toilet paper and some small dots of blood was there. the next day nothing ahs showed up again. is this my period?

No, thats was not a period, just spotting. If you havnt started your periods yet you probably will quite soon so be prepared..;

It sounds like you are getting ready to start your period, but based on what you said that wasn't it. The white discharge that you experienced was probably due to ovulation, which happens a couple of weeks before your period actually shows up. Some women experience little spots of blood when they ovulate, and some women don't.
It's very different for everyone. When you do get your period it will be more than just a couple of spots of blood, and will last for a few days. If you have questions you could ask your mom, a school nurse, or some of your friends (if you are comfortable doing that). It would probably be more helpfull asking a person that you are comfortable talking to, that way if you have other questions during the conversation they can help answer them for you.
I was really embarrassed to talk to my mom about stuff like that at first, but she was REALLY cool about it, and didn't freak out like I figured she would.

i think you did, its strange, i had the same thing.. i started my period 2 weeks ago.. its very strange, i was going to the bathroom and i saw pink mixed with discharge and very liquidy stuff dropping from my thighs, i didn't know if it was my period or not. it was my first, i told my mom. she said it was soo. and now i can never use that underwear again, because when i wash it the blood stain is still there. weird. well my first period only lasted one day. :] which was kind of awkward, and when my period happened, it was like a 1 teaspoon or more. it was droplets. i didn't know what it was, but it was pink :]

yeah, u need to put a hot water bottle on your belly so the clots will come on down.
Fill an empty drink bottle with hot water and put on belly
